Before a fundraiser goes public, give the family one complete version to review. Share the title, story, chosen photo and the wording that will introduce the campaign. Looking at them together makes it easier to spot a detail that feels different once it is public.
Ask three clear questions: Is this accurate? Is this information okay to share? Is there anything that should stay private? Make the requested changes, then show the revised version. An earlier yes should not be treated as approval of new wording or another photograph.
Keep a simple note of which version was agreed, and give helpers that same copy. If something important changes, return to the family before sharing the change. The goal is a clear story the family is comfortable putting their name to.
